Watch Protect Our Care’s New Ads Here

Washington, D.C. – As part of its “Stop RFK War Room” campaign, Protect Our Care is releasing ads in eight key states calling on Republican senators to reject Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination as Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ads call out RFK Jr. for his reckless anti-vaccine lies that contributed to the deaths of 83 people, mostly children, during a 2019 measles outbreak in Samoa. They also blast RFK Jr. for his dangerous promises that would defund life-saving research and put every American’s health and well-being at risk.

The ads will run in Washington, D.C. and in these Republican senators’ states: Susan Collins (ME), Bill Cassidy (LA), John Curtis (UT), Mike Rounds (SD), Mitch McConnell (KY), Thom Tillis (NC), Lisa Murkowski (AK), and Joni Ernst (IA).

“RFK Jr. is a lying con man who is reckless, dangerous, and unfit to be in charge of America’s health care,” said Protect Our Care Executive Director Brad Woodhouse. “From spending decades leading the nation’s anti-vaccine movement to promising to defund live-saving research, RFK Jr.’s deadly misinformation and extremism will be on full display for all of America to see during his confirmation hearings. Senators on both sides of the aisle must come together to reject RFK Jr.’s nomination.”

The digital ads will reach people ahead of RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearings this week. Protect Our Care’s “Stop RFK War Room” campaign is continuing to educate the public on why RFK Jr. is unfit to be HHS Secretary and the insurmountable damage he could do if confirmed.

Sample Ad Script for Maine

Reckless. Dangerous. Unfit.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s anti-vaccine lies fueled a measles outbreak in Samoa that killed 83 people, mostly children.

Now the Senate will decide if he’s in charge of our entire health care system, running programs 125 million Americans rely on.

He’d defund life-saving research and put every American at risk.

Tell Senator Susan Collins: Reject RFK Jr. for HHS.
