Washington, DC — Protect Our Care is suspending its ACA 10 year anniversary tour as a result of the coronavirus crisis which has been exacerbated by President Trump’s disastrous response to the outbreak.
“President Trump has bungled the response to coronavirus from day one and it’s impacting everyone; we’re no different,” said Protect Our Care Executive Director Brad Woodhouse. “As a result, we’re suspending our bus tour which was scheduled to kick off this Sunday, March 15. Even though we will not be traveling the country, you can be sure that we will continue to highlight what the health care law has accomplished and the damage of President Trump’s ongoing war on Americans’ health care which includes his years-long effort to sabotage and repeal the law in Congress and in the courts.”
Protect Our Care will continue with in person events where possible, as well as conduct press calls, days of action and digital activity to shine a spotlight on this landmark anniversary and the Trump-Republican war on health care with a focus on how Trump’s disastrous response to the threat of coronavirus has put Americans at risk.
